Charges schedule
Default plan: Flat ₹20. Statutory charges (STT, GST, stamp duty, exchange fees) apply on top and are uniform across brokers — the calculator breaks them out per trade.
Who it’s for
Cost-conscious DIY traders and investors who want a flat Rs 20 per-order broker with strong charting, direct mutual funds, and an API.
Upstox web platform
The Upstox web platform lives at upstox.com and covers the same trading, holdings, funds and statements surface as the mobile app. Web is the better fit for charting, multi-monitor workflows, copy-pasting from spreadsheets and filling out account or KYC forms; the app wins on mobility, biometric login and fast order placement on the move. Both share one login and one set of holdings — what you do on web reflects on the app instantly and vice versa.
Can you buy bonds on Upstox?
Upstox (RKSV Securities India Pvt Ltd), a discount broker with 1.3 crore-plus claimed customers, added bond investing in September 2025 through a strategic alliance with IndiaBonds rather than building its own bond desk. Upstox users can access 100+ listed corporate bonds, G-secs and state-guaranteed bonds via a co-branded portal (upstox.indiabonds.com), but all execution, compliance and settlement happen on IndiaBonds' SEBI-registered OBPP — Upstox itself is not an OBPP. Bonds are marketed 'zero brokerage' to you, with revenue coming from the dealer spread embedded in the bond price (standard OBPP economics; the markup is not disclosed). Because IndiaBonds' full platform also spans tax-free, 54EC, NCD IPOs, SDLs and Bond SIPs, the shelf is deeper than most broker-native offerings — the trade-off is that bonds aren't native to the Upstox app.
- Listed corporate bonds (100+ curated via the Upstox-IndiaBonds alliance)
- Government securities (G-secs)
- State-guaranteed bonds
- On IndiaBonds' full platform (accessible once on their OBPP): T-bills, SDLs, tax-free bonds, 54EC capital-gain bonds, bank/PSU bonds, NCD public issues, sovereign gold bonds (secondary), bond-backed FDs and Bond SIP
