Web sign-in

  1. Open the official login page

    Open https://pro.upstox.com/. Check the address before entering your account details.

  2. Choose your sign-in method

    6-character unique client code (UCC) / user ID emailed at account opening; password plus year of birth also used

  3. Complete account verification

    Password followed by OTP (SMS/email); TOTP (authenticator app) can be enabled as a more secure 2FA; mobile app supports 6-digit PIN or biometrics

Use the details linked to your existing account. If a screen asks you to open a new account unexpectedly, stop and check with the broker before continuing. Verification can differ between web, app and account types; follow the prompts on the official platform.

Forgot password

use 'Forgot Password' on the login page, enter user ID and year of birth, then verify the OTP sent to registered mobile/email.

OTP not received

ensure the registered mobile has signal and SMS is not blocked by DND, check the email spam folder, toggle Wi-Fi/mobile data, and request again after a short wait.

Account temporarily locked after repeated failed attempts

wait a short while or reset the password to regain access.

App login errors during peak hours

update the app to the latest version, clear cache, or reinstall.

If you cannot use your registered phone or email, contact the broker through its official support channel. An in-account settings change is not a recovery route when you cannot sign in. .

Using the mobile app

Web instructions do not necessarily match the mobile app. Start with the app linked from the broker’s official website, then use its sign-in and recovery options. The platform-specific notes above explain the differences we have sourced. .

Before entering account details

  • Check the full website address, not just its logo or name. A secure connection alone does not prove that a website belongs to your broker.
  • Keep passwords, PINs and OTPs private. Do not give them to someone offering remote login assistance.
  • Use official support if access fails. KYB cannot verify your identity, change registered contact details or bypass the broker’s security checks.
