Who it’s for

Investors who want a full-service, research-backed broker with a seamless 3-in-1 bank-trading-demat experience and are willing to pay higher brokerage for the convenience and integration.

ICICI Direct web platform

The ICICI Direct web platform lives at www.icicidirect.com and covers the same trading, holdings, funds and statements surface as the mobile app. Web is the better fit for charting, multi-monitor workflows, copy-pasting from spreadsheets and filling out account or KYC forms; the app wins on mobility, biometric login and fast order placement on the move. Both share one login and one set of holdings — what you do on web reflects on the app instantly and vice versa.

Can you buy bonds on ICICI Direct?

ICICI Direct is the retail broking platform of ICICI Securities Ltd (launched 2000), now a wholly-owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank after its March 2025 delisting. Its 'FD & Bonds' hub offers the broadest full-service fixed-income menu of any Indian broker — primary-auction G-secs/T-bills/SDLs, exchange-traded corporate and tax-free bonds/NCDs, NCD public issues, 54EC capital-gain bonds (all four issuers), RBI Floating Rate Savings Bonds and secondary SGBs — all under one 3-in-1 bank-broker-demat login. Unlike the embedded price-markup of dedicated bond platforms, it charges explicit, visible brokerage: around 0.06% on primary-auction G-secs and 0.25% on secondary bonds/NCDs under its default plan. It is the natural fit if you want the widest bond menu inside the ICICI ecosystem and don't mind paying a transparent commission.
